Spaghetti with sage and garlic
Ingredients for 4 servings (as main course)
500 gram Spaghetti
2 tbsp Salt
6 garlic cloves
12 medium sized (ca. 40 x 20mm) sage leaves
12 tbsp extra virgin Olive Oil
40 gram butter
Preparation
Bring plenty of water to boil in a small and high pot, add salt and cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the package until it is al dente.
Peel and press the garlic, cut sage leaves in fine stripes.
Heat the butter in the saucepan, add garlic and sage and braise lightly for about 1-2 minutes (do not let the butter get brown). Let it slightly cool down, and then stir in the olive oil.
Shortly pan-fry the cooked spaghetti in the butter-oil mixture.
Serve hot.
